1985 mini truck steering box question

Iam going to do the mini truck steering conversion to the FJ40, and before I put the box on I want to rebuild it. I was told today that Toyota is no longer making the rebuild kit for the mini truck boxes.

Been on the phone with a few people, and have confirmed that these kits are no longer available buy Toyota or aftermarket, or even worldpack.

I did talk to redneck ram hydraulic steering assist and they can put a kit together for me, but I need to send in the box, because there are various sizes for the mini truck box, and he needs to see it. They will put together a kit for the DIY, but you would have to send them your old parts to match up.

they Charge $140 to rebuild the box.

04455-35020 is output shaft seal kit (toyota)......comes with everything need to repair the lower end.......got it today....

I''m waiting for more info on the rest of the parts....i'll let ya know........

Other than seals what else is typical for a repair on this box? I know that other wearable items are in there, anyone have any experience with this?

Great - so I guess you can still get the parts, but not in a kit.
