The internal design / air flow of the precleaner makes it noisey. Its a hissing sucking sound. The turbo itself doesn't actually make that much noise :meh:

Your Diesel engine must be fairly quiet. I am fairly sure my ole 2H would drown out most external noises. :D

My ole truck and I were out in the woods this morning trying to shoot defenseless critters. A rattling 2H makes it a challenge to sneak up on them. ..... :D

Top of the food chain and driving a 70 Series .......... Priceless. :)

We went by the local "Waffle House" after the hunt and as it turns out, a 70 Series is a real "chick magnet." :)
A girl that can roll her cigarette pack up in the sleeve of her camo t-shirt is kinda cool. :D
The "No Trespassing" sign ( on tree near rear of truck ) only applies to domestic trucks.

Is the tailgate and hardware ( factory bed ) interchangeable between the HJ75 and the later HZJ79.
Thanks....

Even though this isn't an African Safari in the Serengeti or an Australian Outback adventure, the HJ75 is the ultimate red neck hunting platform. :D

Thanks to my friendly Canadian parts source I no longer have to be embarrassed about my
bare clutch pedal. :)

I want to remove the "mushroom cap" so I started by removing the collared bracket. ( seems like an obvious place to start )
Even after removing the bracket the cap won't budge. Am I missing something obvious or does the sucker just fit that tight. I am reluctant to beat on it to force it out.

Question bump ...... :)

Sign up to the forum lcool there is plenty of 7x series folks on there that should be able to help.
I haven't had a snorkle before so I can't help but you could always try a big hammer or drive under some low hanging tree branches

From 16,000+ kilometers away, the best advice you can give is to drive under a low hanging branch.
I could have got that advice from the redneck down the street. :)

Is it a genuine snorkel? If so then it should come off, plenty of people here get rid of the original cap and put a ram air top on it. I think i recall the diameter of the Toyota snorkels to be a little bit smaller then the generic branded ones (safari, Donaldson, ect) so you may need a bit of silicon pipe or something to space it out

Maybe drive through Burger King and let the overhead entry bar height thing take it off

If I am going to do that I might as well grab a burger and fries which is difficult to do without a passenger. ( RHD Cruiser in a LHD world ) :D
Every time they throw the food in the left window they spill half of the fries not to mention what happens to the drink. :)

You just have to back through.......

You just have to back through.......

Perhaps you are on to something but I think that would scare the crap out of the customers who are next in line especially at night. :D
