Saw this ad in Ithaca NY. The ad suggests that the value is between $18k - $26k and goes on to suggest that a restored FJ60 is worth up to $85k. So for your enjoyment:

Rust FREE* From AZ* 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser *FJ60

"Let me start by saying that I find it a bit annoying when people post things on here without a price. That being said I am going to be "that guy" but only because its a special circumstance and its EXTREMELY rare to find an FJ60 completely rust free and original.

Its a 1985 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser that spent its life in AZ until 2015 when I brought it to NY and it has been a garage queen ever since ( I only drive it on good weather weekends) . Its a 4 spd manual, 4X4, with manual locking hubs. EVERYTHING WORKS! The odometer shows somewhere around 260k but the motor has been completely gone through and refreshed. I would drive this thing anywhere without a single hesitation.

Its truly an awesome vehicle and a real head turner. It is by no means a show vehicle but I also don't expect 65-85k dollars like Land Cruiser Restorations sells theirs for. The paint shows AZ sun fade (which a lot of people think is cool) and the dash has 1 small crack in it. The interior is overall in great shape, a few spots that could be cleaned and the small vinyl section on the side of the drivers seat is cracked.

I could go on for days about his truck but if you're still reading this then you know what these things are and I am not sure how to price it fairly since book values and Hagerty put it between 18-26k as it sits and with minimal work to complete a full restoration they go for 65-85,000.

Yeah, I'm annoyed in general how much many ask for 60s.
Price shown or not. For someone to have to gall to ask any crazy money for these (think: over 12 or 13, which I still think is ridiculous), the thing better have TWO miles on it! Not three.
Seriously, I've sold some mildly rusted ones late in the aughts decade for 1800, 2500, etc. These were trucks with 150k-odd miles to about 171k.
There really is no basis in my opinion for people to hoard them or try to make exorbitant profits. The 40, 45, troopies I get it.

I just bought a 100% stock 1984 60 with 200k, faded paint and no rust on body and just surface on chassis. Perfect interior. Basically nicer than the one above. And I paid $8500. 18k - 26k for a turn key perfect truck with a clean 12ht and lots of goodies.
