I have a few leads on a cover for the trans cover and boots. I'm finding a few different flavors used through the 80's.

which one do I need? Which style boot do I need? Inside boot? The vehicle did not come with anything. I'm a 1984

You need a 80-84 cover. I should have a few used ones with boots

This sold thread gives a good explanation of them

I thought the early 80-81 covers had 1 or 2 bolts in different places than the next version 82-85
the boots are different between the 2 versions also

I got him hooked up with the 83-84 version already. :)

Still finalizing as he is buying other stuff but probably about $135-150 including new clips/bolts. Boots in good shape no tears.

As you know the 85-87 versions are a lot more desirable and hard to find. I guess I could mention I did start working on having the +85 transmission boot designed and reproduced.

Parts look better than expected. Thank you

It's always nice to get follow-up, but to hear expectations were exceeded is a cherry on top!
