I recently purchased a pretty clean for the year 1983 Toyota 4x4 and I need to gather some parts. I have looked at Ebay and online without much luck. I'm looking for a rear bumper, OEM or aftermarket heavy duty. I'd also like to have a winch on the front and have seen some ARB front bumpers but haven't had any luck finding a source. The original radio works and the truck runs well. I will baseline the truck as soon as it arrives, I have purchased some 31" tires and 15x8 wheels as noone wants to mount the 31s on the 15x6 wheels. I asked this forum and a few gentleman showed me pictures with 31s on the 15x6 but apparently 31s belong on 15x7 minimum. Ebay has the dash and I will try and find some upholstery kits for the two front seats. Any help that can be forwarded will be greatly appreciated.

Try sourcing out of the junk yards. lots of stuff there that you might find useful. And it makes for a good Saturday morning adventure.

Nice truck.
Florida is full of upholstery shops who could do your seats some justice.
Stock door mirrors are still available OEM.
Front Range off-road, ect has a selection of parts for our trucks.
I have a stock rear step bumper I don't see myself using and would sell, but I'm up North from you a ways...
Good luck with it and keep us posted.

The rear bumper is the one piece that I'm immediately on the hunt for. The truck is pretty complete, the dash would be the other item I'd like to replace. The cracks are present but I notice that there are dash caps on Ebay that slip over the original dash, any experiences? Thanks for all the help, L.

I'm trying to get this front bumper sold so I can replace it with an OEM front bumper. It has a WARN winch tray and is a SmittyBuilt bumper.

I bought one of those dash caps off eBay and was very pleased with it. Cost was like $114 or so as I recall. The fit was absolutely perfect--it almost snapped in place. Coverage of the old dash pad was excellent. You must cut away any part of the old pad that protrudes/sticks up above the contours of the old pad, apply the RTV and stick it on according to the instructions. Piece of cake!

Two minor complaints: 1) the grain on the new pad doesn't even come close to matching the grain of the original pad. and 2) I have a brown/beige interior. They offer two shades of brown and I chose the lighter shade as I felt there was too much dark brown in the interior. Well, the light brown doesn't match any other color in the interior. It is almost a pinkish dark tan. So after calling the company to verify that I could repaint it, I did repaint with some Rustoleum "Espresso" dark brown. Nice match to the original, but not perfect.

The original front bumpers and lights are impossible to find when I was looking so keep hold of it if you put on a winch bumper.

Thank you. I have added some wheels and tires but saved the originals. I replaced all of the vacuum lines and did a thorough tune up as well. I am waiting on parts for the front knuckle rebuild and a new windshield as the seal is dry. So many little things to complete but they will all be worth it when I finally take this for it's first drive. I've never even test driven this, Also put new brakes all the way around. Thanks for all the advice, keep it coming. After seeing what the shortbed just did at Barret I may just keep the original bumper and to hell with the winch. I have a woods truck with a winch already.

What are you asking for the winch bumper? TIA.

I was asking $300 but I have a guy interested in it for $400 if I deliver it to KC for him. I have no idea what it’s with worth. I’d be happy to let it go for the right trade/trades.
