Hello,
I was driving along the other day in my cruiser and the shifter went limp. I was working out of town at the time, so I took it to a transmission shop to get it checked out and they have told me that,
1) the plastic ring is broken on the shifter
2)the forks that actuate the selector pin is broken.
Issue number 1 I assumed was an issue.
I have not been able to dig up anything or how to repair issue number 2. Could anyone point me towards what steps next to take as I am not exactly familiar with how this part of the vehicle works.
He is basically saying that I need to free up the shaft, free up the fork, and then free up the roll pin. I have just recently started working on this car, so any help would be appreciated.
