SOLD!!! 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - Great Landcruiser!! - Price reduced from $14,500 to $13,500
For sale is a 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This thing runs great--it's been my daily driver for almost 2 years!! It is one of the best looking, best running late-model FJ40s you'll find. It has all the features: air conditioning, power steering, disc brakes, etc. It is as close to a "stock" FJ40 as there is these days: includes the original stock radio, vinyl floor mats, and many other original features. The engine is the original straight-six, and it runs like a top. 4-spd transmission runs great, too.
Odometer reads 93k, but it stopped working long ago, so I'm not sure what the actual mileage is. However, there can't be too many miles on it because it runs so smoothly. There are no oil leaks--not a single drop!! If you've had an FJ40 before, you know that is an amazing feat. I recently had a complete overhaul of the brake system, so the brakes work great. There are a few blemishes on the body--the front bumper is bent on the passenger side from a recent fender-bender. There is very little rust on this Cruiser. To my knowledge, it has spent its entire life in Texas and Georgia (I'm the third owner, I believe), so it hasn't been as exposed to the elements as more rusty Landcruisers from other parts of the US.
Extras include a bikini top and new carpet set from Specter Off-Road, as well as a new stereo system (AM/FM/mp3/cd player) installed in the locking console. I get compliments on this thing everywhere I go--people have flagged me down and asked me to pull over before just to look at it. I HATE to have to sell it, but kids are on the way soon, and I also need something that can more easily tote my drum kit to gigs.
