1982 BJ 60 add power steering

Hey Guys

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is needed to install power steering into the 1982 BJ60. I will have a 1984 as a parts donner. Is there anything I would need to buy extra or is it a direct bolt in? I haven't looked at it yet I was hoping some one on here has already done it . Thanks in advance for any help

Do both have the same engine? (3B) If so, then it's a simple swap job. (steering box and all) If you live in a warmer climate, you may want to install a fluid cooler in the system.

Hey thanks for the response. I think they are the same motor only difference is the year. the donnor is a 1984 and the other is an 1982. How long should it take ? So it should just bolt on. So there are pump lines, box, accessorie brakets, belt, steering shaft .. nothing else ?

Half a day should have it done. You shouldn't need to swap the steering shaft. Everything should mount with no problem.

It should swap over without any problems.

What... d'you get rear ended?

No A guy who wants to buy mine got rearended and he wants power steering so I told him I would take his out of the 84 and put it into my 82.
