Trade 1981 CJ5 for FJ60/80

I have a 1981 CJ5 with a Chevy small block fuel injected engine. Has a rough country 2.5inch lift. Has a brand new Aluminum radiator with electric fans, Auburn Electric lockers and 4'10 gears. Tires are 33x12.5 with headlocks. Has a Warn 8000 winch with wireless remote. Has the original axle housing's Dana 30 front and AMC 20 rear. I am sure I am missing something so please ask. I am located in Alabama. I am unable to fit all my family in the CJ when I go camping and such so I want something I can seat 6 in and still wheel it. I will try and post a pic and short Youtube clip.

I remember that 5 when it was on ebay awhile back. I loved the color combo for that year. I also have a Jeep crawler I am ditching for a family rig, but out of curiosity, what's the $$$ price with no trade?

I got it off ebay for 11,000 and have put about another 1000 in it with new brakes and Radiator. I would take 11,000 though. it is a great jeep and I love the color aswell. I just need something with more seating so I can take me kids with me when I drive it. 4 seats just dont cut it. Let me know. With 11,000 I could pic up a nice FJ60 or 80.

Or just make me an offer. Thats why I was looking to trade. You will never get what you paid into a vehicle. But This one is a classic and can very easily be put into pristine condition if thats your goal.

Somebody asked if I was at Fort Rucker, I sure am. Also really need something with the 3rd row. I have 4 kids. Really wish I would have got one of these instead of the CJ, Not sure what I was thinking.

Thanks, Yea you are right. I was reading that some guys have put a 3rd row in the 60's I am not sure of what is involved or the cost. I like the look of the 60's though. I just saw a sweet 80 on here sell for 7500 maybe I will luck out and somebody will offer to buy my jeep.

Ok only one Solid offer so far. Its a very nice 1985 Stock 60 with rebuilt Motor and trans. I am new to the old landcruiser vehicles. Does this sound like a fair trade to you guys out there?

A super clean 60 will go for 11k on eBay but alaska60 was selling his 60 with tons of upgrades for 8-9k. It has a 383 stroker ranger od 5 speed and lockers...... And much more. Sounds like the engine is solid if he's made it to 30k so that's a plus. Make sure it comes with a stack of receipts for the build and pm.

Alright looks like a deal pending on a nice stock 85 FJ60 with some money thrown in for an old man emu lift. Hoping all goes well and I don't get separation anxiety from my Jeep!

Maybe a little more room than the 5 for kids but still not a wagon. I'm in the same boat with #3 on the way after I just got done building my dream rig and now will most likely have to ditch it for a family wheeler.

Well a YJ only seats 4 so I would be in the same boat. Best case would be a CJ8 with a full roll cage and a 3rd row stuffed in it
