That's my old 79. I sold it last year about this time. Looks like the put a fresh coat of paint on her, installed the air conditioner and a new radiator. Great truck....I was sad to see her go.

What do you think about the price after the work done?
Not to bad considering it's at a dealer. I figure with the paint and AC install they spent around 3 grand. I'm pretty sure the guy that bought it from me didn't do the work himself. He most likely hired a shop to do it. I would say around 23K or so, but that's just me. It was a really solid cruiser when I had it and they've only made it better with the additional work imo. If you want to know anything else about it, just hit me up.

Isn't AC with install around $2200 to $2500? Paint and AC for 3K would be a steal.
I would say so. I admit I'm the last person to ask when it comes to how much things (labor especially) cost. I was giving my best guess. I know how much one of those AC units costs and a radiator for that engine, but the install I have no clue. The paint when I had it wasn't all that bad so maybe it just got a respray. The guy who bought it from me was very well to do from what I could gather so I'm sure expense was no object for him. I'm pretty sure the guy kept receipts of the work done and all you would have to do is give the dealer a call and find out. Now you got me wondering...lol!

When did you sell it? Looks like there's already some paint chipping in the hood. Was there any rust when you had it? What's up with the rear sill?
I sold it last February. It had a pretty good chip on the hood when I sold it. That's why I'm thinking it was a respray. The only rust it had was surface rust on the rear sill. I believe the sill did have a small dent in it. Maybe the size of a quarter at best. I'm not in front of my pc, but I could forward you the pics I have when I listed it if you'd like.
I actually have pics of the sill on my phone. That sill was replaced before I owned it and they never painted it and neither did I. Like I said before it was just surface rust.
Hmmmm I'll trade my Lx450 , I'm unfamiliar with 40s but I would want one .
