@oldschool4wheeling where'd you get the fender top skin? They look good. The real steel floor pans I used look pretty good, but were warped like hell and the stampings were not defined as well as I would like. I got to cover the 1/8" plate one of the now deceased POs put in.

@joyRidaz , I see your concern. That fender side is spot welded around. But I think it will work just fine. When you put it in just keep driving back into the rear corner and clamp it. Then drive it against the side and clamp it again.

I used 18 inch locking pliers from Eastwood. Specifically for clamping my fender tops to the quarter panel. Eastwood seemed to be the only ones how carried them for a reasonable price.

I would drill holes every couple of inches so you could spot weld it good.

@gator25 My fender tops are Real Steel. And I like the way they are built. They are a little warped, but nothing that doesn't come out after it is all welded up.

But with that being said, you have to bend them the right length from the rear of the fender. Even with all my measuring and looking and measuring again, I bent mine wrong, too short. I had to bend it again and make it about 3/4 longer. Grrrrrr.

If I was replacing the whole fender section again, I would order CCOT, because they will put both pieces together and it will be right.
Well, if I was still a cherry at this, but I feel pretty seasoned. I do think it would save time on fabrication.

I was busy last weekend with my kids! I took my youngest daughter to see Kong Skull Island. We enjoyed it. We jumped a few times, but all in all it was another King Kong movie!!

So this weekend, the weather is perfect and I'm working on my rig!!

Welded the driver side fender in the tub. I like the way it turned out.

I am very pleased at the measurements I took and how "square and plumb" everything is.

Nice job man, you'll be done before you know it.

Heck yeah, @gator25, I can actually see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Granted it is about as bright as flash light on the face of the moon, but at least I know it is there!!:smokin::smokin:

Corner channels, put top on and hang doors and check fitment, hang spare tire carrier, rockers, front floor pans, p/s fender, mud and sand and paint and then reassemble.

Probably a long Saturday?
