Not mine ... oddly the seller neither mentions the mechanicals nor post engine photos after claiming $9,000 worth of work done on it

Yeah, I'm gonna call BS on the "no rust issues" comment. Bubbles in the paint = rust in the 20+ years I've been doing bodywork.

Still looks like a decent starting point. I'm saying this will go for $12k give or take. He/she just needs to post up ALOT more pics showing the motor, undercarriage and inner tub to get a serious buyer to bite.

The engine runs good. It does have a vacuum leak that needs fixed. I have 9000.00 in receipts from Brown machine shop. The engine compartment is totally stock. Thanks

You should tell him pics will tell you volumes over words. Does he even know what a "totally stock" FJ40 engine compartment looks like? Some people haven't a clue, or this dude is trying to hide crap and hoping for a sucker.

Why would anyone stretch the truth or even lie about $9,000 of 2F engine work? Perhaps they had leftover fibs from completing their Federal taxes!

I wrote asking for more pictures and here is the seller's response.

Thanks. The engine compartment is stock. Rust is limited to a few small bubbles in the paint. Very minor. The body and frame are nice. No dents or body rot.. Your call on the bid. This could easily be a very high dollar Land cruiser. Tears me up to sell it

No surprise - the Seller cancelled all bids after the bidding met the "reserve" threshold ($8,000) and then pulled the sale.
