For sale: 1978 Toyota FJ 40...Red with white hard top! It has the original 4.2 L 2F engine, and 4 speed manual. This is a three owner FJ and has been garaged kept! It has extremely low mileage at 54,000. It comes with the hard top and doors, as well as a Bestop soft bikini top and doorless mirrors. It has original wheels and hubcaps, with brand new 31' BFG TaKo tires (less than 2,000 miles). We have the original seats which are in good shape, but need to be reupholstered. Pictures show it with Corbeau seats (very easy to switch) and Bestop bench seat in the back. The carburetor was rebuilt at 53,000 miles. All normal maintenance has been kept up with. It runs well with lots of power, and four wheel drive works well too. Overall, this is one the best FJ40s we've seen and a highly desirable year. Some have suggested that the bezel is upside down...Can't say for sure because I've seen ads from the 70s that show it that way. It's the way it was when we bought it. Easy enough to change to your preference.
