Hi everyone! Just purchased a 78 fj40 and gonna start ripping her apart this weekend for a frame off restoration. Never done a project like this before. Hope to share pics. with you guys and welcome any feedback you might have.

Good luck on your project. Many have been there before.
Here is the official MUD welcome.....:flipoff2:
Ask away, lots of good info here. Learn to use the FAQ and the search function to avoid being chastised.

Welcome!
Ed said it all. Search and FAQ will get you far.
Make sure you take lots and lots and lots of pictures and notes... You'll need them when it comes time to put things back together.
Good luck!!

One more thing i forgot to mention.....the '78 is considered by many to be the absolute best year LC to own/restore. Probably has fine-splined pinions, 4:10 gears, heavier sheetmetal, 4 speed and disc brakes.
Helps if you weld(or have a buddy who does) to deal with rust issues, but you definitely have one of the best starting bases.

Good Luck again....
