I hate to do this but it's time for me to let my pig to find a new sty. Moving across the country and just had a kid money for this truck is simply not in the budget and I'm afraid if I don't find a new home for it she's going to end up sitting in my in laws cow pasture for a decade. So here are some details, I'm going to get more pics up as soon as I can get my garage open and dig all the parts out.

Very stock truck, even won an award for this with the previous owner. This previous owner imported this truck from Bend, Oregon I'm guessing around 15 years ago. It got a paint job and mechanical refurbish when it came to the east. Before I found it the truck was sitting in a carport for several years. The guy wanted too much when I first saw it then a year or so passed and my dad went to look at it and over that time mice had moved in and it stank. He ended up giving it to my dad then( they've had a very long professional relationship). My old man messed with it for a year or so and bought a bunch of Bobm sheet metal for it and various other bits before deciding it was too much of a project for him. I then acquired it for the cost of his parts. I cleaned extensively and found the mouse nest. Lubed, changed all fluids. Installed aluminum radiator, some after market gauges and began to try and find a tailgate solution. I hate to sell this, I love wrenching and driving old trucks but I gotta cut some things free to get to the next stage of my life. Seeing this in my driveway just makes me happy but it's time...

Which way did you move, to MT or to MD? I see the plates but I understand the rig is in MD.

I'm moving to MT, I work half the year there. My wife is leaving her MD job and soon is the time for us to relocate. I use this pig to take my dogs walkng in the winter, driving about 10 miles daily.

This pig is in the western most part of MD, 10 mile from Deep Creek Lake in Accident. Should someone purchase it I can have it stored here for free until a convenient time to grab it.

The BFG's have great tread but they're old with some dry rot cracking in the surface. Driving at 55 the tires feel out of balance, I've been running them but I typical I don't go very far at all.

How do the floors look? Does it run well? I know you said you drive it daily 10 miles, but how does the old pig run? Pics of the undercarriage?

The floors are quite solid and doesn't really need the replacement floor pans it would come with.

All in all the truck feels tight. The carb rebuild is so so, as in it takes a long time to warm up. I have suspected there may be a vacuum leak but it does run better when warm. My next move for it was to get a troll hole set up.

I'll get some pics up in a few days but I will say he rust that scares me most on this is the roof. I've seen worse and I've seen better pigs in this department. But yeah I need to get more pics. Thanks for the interest.

I could also add that the brakes work well, the exhaust is complete though the aftermarket header it has developed a rust hole over this summer. When I got back to it this fall I patched it with some tin and hose clamps, not my cleanest work but it seemed to do the trick. I haven't driven it much since then as I inherited a subaru as my winter dog walkng car and I wanted to see that fixed correctly.

funny, you're leaving the cold and snow of MD to come to the snowless and warm MT!

Yeah it was -4 at our house this morning, sounds like a real warm year for you this winter.

61F today. no snow left except in the mountains. they are moving the sled dog race from Lincoln to Seeley Lake due to lack of snow.

If you look at my older posts you can see most of what I've done to this truck. Yes, driving the wheel off and mushing the fender was my first mod. Fortunately it did not hurt the door. In my opinion the roof is the worst of the rust on this pig, and, as mentioned before, this truck includes a bunch of patch panels, but none of these address the roof. I'll try to get some pics of those parts when the weather relents a bit. When we got the truck it really had mouse odor bad and thats why my dad tore out the very nice headliner which I would have left intact but really it probably reveals more about the condition of the body. He failed to find the culprit which was an old nest in the duct work. I removed and thoroughly cleaned the interior and duct work. It still smells a bit but seems to improve as time passes.
