Tough 4x4 Landcruiser. Runs and drives great, Go anywhere, do anything. Recent lower-end engine rebuild and updated interior. Original 2F (I6) Engine. 4 Speed, 4 inch SOR lift with new 33 inch Geolander All Terrrain tires, Front Disk Brakes (75 & newer FJ55s). I have about 9K invested. Sounds great with header. Ussual rust(Have started working on the rust mitigation) Replaced (tacked on) rockers with upgraded aftermarket rockers. Currently removing rear 5" of lower quarters. Upgraded Bucket seats with correct seat bracket, stereo works great, many new parts (clutch, recored raditator, mil'd crank, springs, shackles, wheels, carpet, upolstery, battery, windshield, tires, wheels, reupolstered tweed rear seat, extra upper fenders, replacement tailgate, exterior spare tire carrier, etc...) Has original disc/drum brakes. This thing is a beast. Running out of cash/time for this project. Call Rod at 719-216-2633

History

So with all the FJ55 out there for sale, I feel I should give some history. I purchase this landcruiser about five years ago in Boulder Colorado. It had been sitting for months. White shag carpet. So I drove it home on old gas.

I immediately tuned it up and it became a daily driver. The next imediate fix was the interior. I purchased a bucket seat mount and installed aftermarket seats in the front, I had the back seat reupolstered in a grey tweed (durability). Then I added a SOR carpet kit in the cargo area and found the original rubber mat fo the front and back seat area.

I then turned my attention to the suspenion. I purchase a JT Outfitter Pinnicle leaft spring kit. It came with shackles, leaf springs, shocks, etc... This leveled out the landcruiser and gave it a lot better ride. I then purchase 33 X 12.5 Geolander tires and black wagon wheels.

Throughout this time I have picked up to extra upper fenders, new tailgate and IPOR Rockers. I also patched the two front lower fenders.

I found that the landcruise has a broken crank key behind the crank pulley, so I pulled the engine, bought another crank and had it mil'd , bought a new pulley, Had the radiator record, New seals, gaskets, New Optima Battery, etc...

This last winter I serviced the transfer case. Replaced the seal rear seal, however found that it will need a speed sleeve (S36.00 @ SOR) and I have yet to replace the water sending unit. Will do that this weekend.

So that is five year in a nut shell. There was one year midway that the landcruiser sat while I was away. It has been a touch landcruiser and I hate to sell, however I need funding to finish my construction project. If there are any questions that you may have, reply, PM me or give me a call. I hate to sell for so little, however I need the funds soon. Thanks for listening.

Earthcruiser,
I am across the "I" in Woodmoor. Can I come check out your rig some evening this week? My cell is 719-492-8428. Thanks. Doug

Sorry everyone, but I sold this landcruiser. Signing off... Keep the rubber side down.

I bought this truck.

Hey Rod, I just got this fj from a guy in Golden. Now its back in Boulder Colorado. I has a good sized dent in the rear passenger corner now. It's a great truck. I traded a CJ5 for it.

you planning on showing it off at a rising sun meeting since they're in golden? if you do, i'll bring one of my pigs too:clap:

Broke front hub

To continue the saga....Got to take the cruiser to the mountains (Lefthand canyon) yesterday, and something in the left front hub is broke. When in 4wd the wheel locks up. We got of the mountain in 2WD. Will tear in to it this afternoon.

Happier than a Pig in ....

The saga continues-now I own this pig! It's living in Lone Tree, Co. Traded with Closet Works for it. I have a few plans for it, but nothing major in the immediate future. Just tires, original steel wheels, replace the Corbeau seats with 4runner or fj80 seats, rusted floorpan, and rear fenders. Outside of that, she's cherry!
