1978 FJ40 project
I have been gathering parts for this rig for a couple of years. I ended up buying a pig so this has to go
it is apart on a rolling chasis
good tub
good front doors
hardtop
ambi door need bottoms
basically all body parts except front fenders
seats, gas tank, roll bar, tire carrier
2f engine/tranny/transfer with 85k
new man a fre 4'' springs with hecklthorn shocks
chasis is cleaned and painted and has a manafre shackle reversal kit with a poor welding job
I have just about everything to complete except the front fenders
$3500
located in southern Vermont

If you consider selling this 78 off in parts I would be interested in the tub and other body pieces. My tub was bad on my 78 and everything else is good.

still got it

Is this thing in parts or a roller? I'd be interested maybe if it's towable. Got any picks? Nice Tub is extremly important!!!

Axles and springs on chasis, tub sitting on it, needs to be trailered. here are some tub pics. you can see some pitting but no rust through

The chasis has been blasted and painted. It has a man afre shackle reversal kit on it . It should be re welded as the po did a terrible job welding. Brand new Man A FRE 4" lift springs with hecklethorn shocks. Good gas tank, front seats need recovering, nice gas tank, top is nice with the exception of a few bubles on the bottom. I was going to put this together and ended up buying a fj55 and doing that. This is a project. It need to be painted and assembled. The parts are good and this will make a nice rig when done. Like I said basically everything but the front fenders and side marker and rear lights. It is packed away in a shed so pictures are hard to get.

also the motor is in the chasis
