I would wouldn't say he's on the high side. I'd say he's just HIGH! -

That thing has some tell tale signs that would indicate nobody gives a s***. Worth no more than mid 20's in my book. Both doors are missing buckets for the pull out handles. the wipers don't park in the correct position, the skid plate is missing. At least one ambulance door is from a later Cruiser. The corner reflectors are missing. The seams / welds between the rear quarters and bottom sill are gone (bondo most likely) Driver side fender not level, shorty winch bumper but no winch. Non-factory fugly color. Suspect looking VIN plate. Bonus holes in the dash, no headliner, I could go on but you get the point. At least the headlight bezel is right side up.

I just started hunting. Not easy in this North Eastern / Mid Atlantic part of the country it seems. :) Am definitely glad there is the wisdom of ih8mud

Enjoy the hunt. I spent a few months and got lucky. But honestly I really enjoyed searching. I picked up this 1982 beauty and couldn’t be happier. Also Greg Overton is a great guy. He’s a straight shooter and super helpful.

This 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 has just received a complete, ground up restoration. This truck was completely torn down to the tub. It was painted inside and out in its original 854 Sky Blue. It received all new weather stripping, windshield, 2.5” Pro Comp suspension lift, all of the seat frames and brackets were completely disassembled and blasted and painted and re upholstered with new correct interior, new headliner, new OEM dash, original “Toyota” front and rear floor mats in excellent condition, (5) new OEM Toyota wheels with new caps and (5) new BFG K02 33x10.50x15 tires, all new emblems and stainless hood hold downs, new bumper and rear bumperettes and probably lots more I am forgetting. We also added a brand new FiTech Fuel Injection unit with the G-Surge tank. No more carburetor issues! This truck runs strong and shifts smooth.

Priced in the mid 40's

So the question is, is it still a good truck even with those flaws and if you get it for mid 20’s??
