I have for sale, a 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 in excellent condition. I purchased the FJ almost two years ago and have worked consistently on restoring the vehicle. The vehicle at this point is in fantastic shape mechanically and cosmetically and would make a great vehicle that someone would be proud to own.
The vehicle has the classic look of Toyota FJ40 and is a hardtop and a convertible and is a blast to drive. The body has no rust at all. The body tub is a new aluminum body tub which is in perfect shape and will never rust. The front fenders and hood are new. The truck has recently been professionally painted red. The doors front and rear and hard-top are in great shape. All the glass on the vehicle is in great shape. The windshield is new. The hood hinges are new. Depending on the owner's choice, this vehicle could easily become a show quality vehicle with a little extra work or it could be used as a daily driver as-is.
The interior in the vehicle is in great shape. Both front seats are brand new OEM style seats, the backseats are original jump seats in great shape. One back seat has a small cut in the seatliner. The upper dash is original and black with normal wear and tear. The gauges all work.
The Land Cruiser stays in my garage at all time. It does leak oil on my floor, but every Toyota I have ever owned does that. It doesn't burn oil, just leaks a little around the oil pans, hasn't been enough of an issue so far for me to take it in to fix.
Mechanically, the vehicle is in great shape. It has the original FJ40 6 cylinder motor in it. This motor is bulletproof, it is in great shape, as is the transmission and transfer case, I have never had a truck run so smooth.
The Transfer case, 4wd, front-end, rear-end, etc, all work fine and are in good shape. The transmission is a manual 4 speed. It has lock-out hubs. The 4wd functions smoothly and efficiently. I have recently changed the fluids in the front and rear-end.
The truck has new shocks front and back, a new radiator, fan, and motor mounts. It has a new battery, new plugs, plug wires, distributer cap. It has new tail lights and tail light wiring. It has a brand new upgraded headlights and light wiring harness. The new head lights are awesome, they are IPT RoundEyes, which are one of the best aftermarket light kits you can buy.
The truck has a new exhaust, new brake master cylinder and brake shoes. It has disc brakes.
The tires and rims are in great shape. The tires are aggressive and have 90% plus tread on them. The vehicle spare tire is in great shape.
The fuel tank on the truck has recently been refurbished with new hoses and lines.
All electricals are in good shape and functional, lights, signals, driving lights, windshield wiper, etc.
Currently the vehicle is tagged and licensed and I drive it occasionally into the office. I own the vehicle outright and have the clear title.
I am motivated to sell it and will consider all reasonable offers.
