For Sale 1977 FJ55 on Craigslist

Hi, all. Newbie here. I'm looking to go down the rabbit's hole and get into a FJ55. I found this on Craigslist in my local area and figured I'd share the post with all who are interested and ask if you have any opinions on this particular pig for sale. Thanks in advance for your input.

Looks like a nice one, with a lot the work done already. Do you know where to look for rust? Bring a magnet and check for filler.

Thanks, scrapdaddy. As far as rust hot spots, I'm not totally up to speed on all the key points for the FJ55, but I've had my fair share of 4runners and Tacomas to know where to look on them. Any suggestions are most appreciated.

Roof gutters, lower front fenders, rockers and below the rear reflectors. Look under the floor mats and the bottom of the doors, all places where water/condensation sits. For me, it's the hardest thing to imagine what the body looked like before paint.

I'm in Exeter. I figured this was the place to post to see either anyone ran across it in the past for sale - I think I saw this up on another board a long while ago.

I'm traveling on and off for the next month, so I'll have to cool my jets until I get back at the end of Feb. I'll touch base with you to see if you're still interested and if it's still for sale. Any idea what it sold for? Just curious to know if he's done anything extra to it or if it's just a quick flip.
