For Sale 1976 FJ55 in Aurora, Colorado

I bought this Pig a few years ago with the intent to build it up. Found an FJ60 that received the time and money, so this 55 spends her time waiting for me to start her up once in a while. It's sad, but I can't justify the cost these days.

I'll get photos up soon along with the details, but I figured I'd get this thing posted to start with.

The body has normal rust and some army-lookin' thick green paint. Riveted front quarter panel patch, bottom edge cut from rear quarter panels, rocker panels cut and replaced with square slider tubes. Suspension has shackle reversal. Engine is 2F, 4-speed, Colorado emissions passed (warm day with idle adjusted up to 1000). Bucket seats up front, cheap plastic console on the floor.

I bought it in Sacramento and drove it home to Denver, I've driven it occasionally since then, with some repairs along the way- radiator hose, harmonic balancer pulley, new rear differential...

Asking $2300, willing to bargain. I can't give this truck the love it deserves, maybe you can?

Any pics yet?

I know that truck and was wondering if you decided to keep it or not, pretty good looking for a Pig.

For the record red60 has the best looking 60 I've seen in a long, long time.

Marty Moose, I have to find photos in the archived CD's... Should have them up tomorrow.

...and Front Range 4x4, thank you for the compliment(s). I'll get photos of the red60 up soon also.

let's see if I can make pictures appear in the right place...
Sorry no current ones. Just imagine aluminum wheels and a bit more rust and dust.

First one is at Tahoe on the inaugural trip to Aurora, CO from Sacramento. Second one is her first of 3 flatbed rides to get home after blowing the rear differential at 55 mph. Second flat bed ride was from Wells, NV to Salt Lake City to get a new rear end. Third ride was from near Cheyenne, WY to my driveway with a loose harmonic balancer. That's me under the hood in the dark, coming to terms with sleeping on a truck stop couch with my girlfriend (wife now), while we wait for a friend with a trailer.

Sorry, can't get the first photo to upload.

Photos taken today. The big oil spot underneath is from a spill during a transfer case repair on a different truck. This pig drops a little oil, but not that much.

Price Drop to $1000.

Good News! Price Drop!
Bad News! Transfer Case Problem!

The rear drive shaft slipped rearward from the transfer case while I was driving. It's not good: metal shavings present. So I removed the shaft and pulled it home.

I'm not gonna get to this repair anytime soon, so it's good for you if you're looking for an FJ55. I'm listing this to move and I'm able to bargain. Reply here or for quicker contact, call 303-564-1160. Tom.
