So being the cruiser guy I am.....I came across an FJ55 the other day and picked it up. I actually walked away knowing it was too much work for me but my wife talked me into getting rather than see it sit so I'm offering it up to fellow cruiserheads as whole or parts. Would rather sell it whole but it does hjave some cool parts on it.

First, I don't know much about 55's, I'm a 40 guy so I don't know whats hard to get or easy to get other than the general stuff.

It's a 76, completely stock with 2f and 4 speed right down to the (i think) are the original rims and hubcaps. The only thing I know is missing is the front seat. IT RUNS! but i don't have time to do a compression check and it runs rough (due to really old gas i believe) It has the usual rust in the rockers and front fenders and the (L) rear was damaged by a fender bender but the PO cut it out but there is no sheetmetal to replace it. The roof is in great condition if someone needed that for a project and most of the interior sheetmetal is good. It comes with doubles of some things like glovebox doors, rear window glass, grills, etc. It also has 4 decent doors and all glass is intact. The dash pad is in great (uncracked) condition and many of the other things are nice as well.

I really keep going back and forth but the driver's rear corner has me worried where it is cut out. I would need to have sheetmetal cut from another donor 55 and I'm afraid that may be hard to get. There are way too many body lines with the corner and rear tailight to try to fab it out of sheet.

It would be perfect for someone pick it up complete who has a donor rig

if you want to do a resto I know of another in the ranchos that the top is chopped rest is in pieces same color as that 1, could get that rear corner. there is 1 up here at south side autobody, one in truckee and homewood, all for sale being parted out. I would take them all and yours but not alowed to have any more till i get the all my others working.

I thought bobm on here was fabbing those corners?

A donor shouldn't be too tough to find.

'76 is a sweet year! If your wife is on board, you should resto it!

If you do part it, I'll take the hubs/lock-outs and birfs, and front 3-point seatbelts if they are there.

I' would also be in for the side vents if they are in good shape, and the rear reflectors w/ chrome rings.

I talked to bobm on here and he is only going to do the lower corners, I need darn near the whole thing. But thanx for the heads up and......
