Up for sale a 1976 fj45 longbox. Org color mustard yellow now bright yellow. Comes with 2 extra doors and 5 split rims . truck needs work but runs great I drove it back from Calgary this year. The reason I'm selling it is 2 weeks after coming back a person posted what is my fj45 worth and that was last year I contacted him and he had it in is garage still I went to look at it only 2 hours from Hamilton Ontario and I bought it. So that's the only reason or I would keep big bird I paid $7500 for her but have put some work into but not a lot so let's here what you guys think. I don't need to sell her but at the same time I don't want it sitting. Any questions just ask I will not give false information I even told you what I paid for her. Any questions just ask if it sells I hope a mud member takes her home I have ownership in hand.

New price $4900.00 or partial trade and cash for 1984 BJ42.

Ok even lower price as of Feb 21 2014 $4,500

Still want a BJ42 1983\84 only

i agree, fair questions deserve an answer.
the old 45s are getting really rare.
i would like to see pics of the rear frame cross member and shackle hanger corners, the frame next to the factory muffler location, rear cab corners both outside and inside, front floor areas both under and above shots.
this will give a good indication of the condition of the truck as a whole.

$7500 is not an outrageous price for a 45 in decent condition.
i wouldn't classify myself as a "tire kicker" when i see something that is WORTH the price then i usually buy ... if i am looking. but i won't invest into a money pit.

First I would like to say I did not buy the truck and intend on selling it. I thought for sure I would be fixing big bird up and driving her next summer. I paid what I think was far as they are rare and I felt there was enough decent parts on this truck to make it work. If I was to put two fenders on this truck , fix drivers door bottom, fix the tub in areas needed and box where its needed, the frame has been patched by a welder due to a stress crack which I think was from transit from Calgary. Two areas where fixed both cracks but one was result of the other due to movement and some rough roads. He put a plat on both cracks but never just welded the crack itself. I am not a frame professional but after asking more then enough guys this can be fixed, as it is its safe to drive with these two plats put on.

Its called fish plating! I think you have shown good pics of any problem areas!

Take it apart and paint it and ask 28k for it...

I would not paint this truck and ask $28000 thousand for it lol ok back to my truck there is a price drop and I will loose a bit of money but I figure the trip to Calgary was worth that and more oh and moose jaw bars rock . I am thinking in the 6000 dollar range comes with 2 extra doors that are pretty good and 5 split rims runs great body needs some work but its far from junk.
I have 3 guys I interested in that 6,000,00 dollar range I paid 7500 for it and had some work done on her so yes I'm loosing now but can't have it sitting on lawn it will rot it. FYI I think I'm being more then honest with this fj45 plus it feels good to be honest I can sleep at night here's my cell I have pictures 1 905 870 1441 Jamie Heuberger near Hamilton Ontario Canada you can text me eh

damn, if i didn't just buy a 70 ...
best of luck with the sale ... winter can be a bugger for selling.
but
it would make for an interesting christmas gift

Just fly up and drive it home.

$1000 bucks tops for transport.

I have a few people wanting pictures if I was to post on mud I would fill 2 pages. I wish they had a mud auction site that would be cool.
