1976 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser (The Orange Crate)

Up for sale is the world infamous FJ40 nicknamed the orange crate. I'm listing this for a good friend. This is what he has to say below. I can PM his contact info if you are interested. This will be going on ebay soon if no interest. This would be a great rig for someone who wants instant gratification!

It has been in our possesion for 3 years and has been very well maintained and also very well used. I previously owned a 1985 Toyota 4 Runner, but wanted something more. The crate was pretty much stock except for the V8 conversion when I first bought it and I proceeded to slowly add improvements as needed. Well it is a slippery slope when adding improvements as you can see below I have transformed a rather tame FJ-40 into a do all and say all offroad vehicle. I have taken the orange crate to Moab Utah on several ocassions driving down, wheeling for the week, and then driving home. I have also taken the crate to Death Valley and areas near Las Vegas exploring the desert. Locally I usually go at least once a month year round into the cascade mountains to explore and camp. The crate is a very dependable FJ40 and wouldn't hesitate taking it for extended excursions. With the extra fuel capacity and the onboard air it allows you to be self sufficient during long trips. If you are looking for a turn key 4x4 with a long list of upgrades you will very pleased with this rig. Included below are several action photos and movies from our trips. Also listed below I have inlcuded all the upgrades and maintenance I have done. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. You can also see the FJ40 in person. I live in the Seattle area and I'm available to show it.
