Hi All, I am selling my 1976 FJ40 that runs! When I bought it (before kids) I had thoughts about working on it. I have not had the time since kids. The previous owner rebuilt the Master cylinder. I put in a new gas tank, alternator and, battery. It runs and started up with little effort after sitting in the yard for 2 years. Yes, this is my first post here on this form, so I would prefer to sell this in person for your and my protection. Clean title. I am not sure exactly what the details everyone is looking for so please ask away! I tried to take lots of photos that would detail the love needed here but I am only allowed 5 photos. Send me your email and I will send the rest of the photos. The frame is in good shape, little rust and there are no places I would be worried about. The engine runs well, and seems to have the normal stuff.
Milage: 40,025.5 I am told that is original and did not roll over.
Price: $8,000 I would prefer cash as I have stories about "secure" forms of payment bouncing.
If you are traveling to purchase this car bring a trailer and I don't like to drive to over 40 MPH, it shakes... most likely needs new shocks.
I love driving this with the top off. I believe I have a bikini top. I also have 4 studded tires. (I do need to gather this stuff in one spot)
