I will not bore you with some sob story of why I'm selling this 40. Me and the wife just bought a house and it needs work, so I'm trying to free up some cashola. I also just got a great deal on a 99 4runner. We were not planning on getting the house, AND I was never planning on the FJ40 or the 4runner. So the 40 is low man on the totem pole.
FJ40 was from Arizona, bought on MUD and sent to NC. Was kind of running when I got it. It is currently in a shop getting quite a bit of work done to it; brakes, axles, bearings, seals, calipers, shoes, electrical work, Power Steering, etc, etc, etc...
Yes it is currently in the shop, however I know these things don't sell over night so I'm starting now.

Front tub POR rustproof and non-skid
6 point custom roll cage (hard top doesn't seal at windshield due to roll cage being too wide at the front, looks like someone tried to push down hard top to fit)
Fbrglass top w/rear ambulance doors, new gaskets for doors (not installed) (hard top has some damage on top, kind of like a dip on driver side, looks like someone tried to mash top down)
plastic door panels (newer plastic door panels on the inside)
Ignition/gas locks keyed same/doors keyed same
lockable tool box mounted in the rear (mil surplus box)
28 gal underseat gas tank
new foam on bottom of seat/recovered entire seat
Jensen Marine/weatherband AM/FM/CD player (radio works, display doesn't)

Stainless screws/bolts in every place I could replace steel

ARB locker and L/S differential in boxes (ARB is NIB, surface rust on outside) neither one is installed
2" body lift/4" shackle lift/new Rancho springs and R5000 shocks
(5) 33x12.5 AT tires Cooper Canyon Climber (75% tread left on tires)
MSD Offroad electronic ignition/MSD distributor/water pump(replaced at engine rebuild)
6 cyl rebuilt w/5K miles--Crow RV grind cam, new pistons, rings, bearings, etc.
Weber dual 38mm carb/accelerator pedal
K&N air filter
NV4500 tranny (5 spd) Advance Adapters kit (1st 5.63:1/5th 27% overdrive)
Orion (4:1) tcase by AA (4L crawl ratio 92:1)new E-brake pads/cable
4:11 stock gearing in differential
custom drive shafts/frt and rr
Old Man Emu stabilizer
4 core HD radiator/hoses 4 yrs old
GM high output alt
dual Optimas/ red tops w/custom stainless dual tray

oil cooler, sliders on U bolts, HFS bumper
Runs very well, had a starting issue which is being fixed. Rust is minimal, there is some under the doors, and a little under the rear doors. The rust areas have been sanded and painted black with Rust-Stop stuff.
Pretty much all of the issues are being fixed or have been fixed. Its been in the shop for about 2 months. Should be done pretty soon.
