1976 FJ40 For Sale - $2500
update - the rig is still running strong. i just replaced the clutch slave cyl with an OEM toyota one. everything else is good to go. i also checked the diffs, transfer case, and tranny fluids - all good. i also put new filler plugs on the diffs as the PO had buggered the old ones nicely. just recently took the doors off for the AC effect and like i said, running strong. all original, waiting for you to make it yours.
I bought this in June06 and just had a baby. I have only had time to drive it to work once in a while. It is not my first cruiser and I would say that if nothing else, it is all original. The PO told me that it had a head job and carb rebuild at some point and based on the work I did on my last cruiser I am not so sure. That being said, the thing runs great and I do not hesitate to drive it all over. The only thing that I can see that has been done is all that all the emissions gear has been removed/capped off. Vehicle Description
Great running cruiser -- will go anywhere. Great daily driver, off-road vehicle, or restoration candidate.
Engine starts and runs great -- does not burn oil.
4-Speed Transmission shifts smoothly and correctly.
Transfer case works correctly in high and low.
Lock-outs fully operational.
All lights, signals, wipers, windows work.
Heater and blower works.
Passed Missouri inspection this year.
2 inch shackle lift (approximately).
32x11.50x15 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires on six lug wheels, 75% tread.
Exhaust replaced from manifold back (including muffler and tail pipe).
Professionally reupholstered front seat bottoms.
Extras (at least a $2000 value): Bikini top, soft half doors, rear tailgate panel from Spector. One complete jumpseat with good upholstery. One half jumpseat with good upholstery. Set of extra rear ambulance doors in good condition (no glass). Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette Stereo with amplifier (under seat) and speaker system with 10 in woofers, etc, mounted in back end.
Issues: Very rusty tub. You could replace it. Rust holes on front fenders. Standard FJ40 oil drip.
If possible, I'll assist with shipping/delivery arrangements.
