Hi guys I have 1976 fj40 that is mostly original. So the crankshaft loosened off and the harmonic balancer walked of the shaft a bit. Anyways I pulled the harmonic balancer off as well as the timing cover. I noticed upon removal that the timing cover has two seals, an outer spring seal and an inner triple lipped seal. Pic included for clarity. What I can’t find is any info about this inner seal, or did someone just press the old one in further and added a new seal.
