I'm selling my FJ40; this is a daily driver that I don't really want to sell but looking to purchase a new truck for longer distance driving. Hoping to find a Tacoma to use as a daily driver to replace the FJ40. This is a solid FJ40 that runs great and has lots of brand new parts. It has a Chevy 327 with new distributor, plug, plug wires, air cleaner, Quadrajet rebuild with electric choke, new oil pan and silicon gasket and brand new exhaust system with Rams Horn headers and crossover pipe. It has power steering conversion so it's easy to push the brand new Super Swamper tires around. It has a four speed manual trans and 4wd transfer case with the Advance Adapters bell housing. The interior has new ProCar seats that are super comfortable and the interior sheetmetal has been herculined. The frame and running gear have been treated with Por 15 and the sheetmetal is in really good condition. There are some areas where the FJ40 has some slight surface rust on the but there is no major rust anywhere. It's never been driven in the snow/salt since being undercoated. The previous owner rebuilt the entire rear tub with thicker than stock sheetmetal that was galvanized for rust protection. He worked at Oshkosh truck and used military spec galvanized steel for the rear tub floor and sides. It has been painted with flat khaki paint that doesn't appear to be super high quality so a quality paint job would make this FJ really shine if you're looking for that kind of finish. He did leave some exposed welds but it fits the character of the FJ. All of the windows have new rubber seals and the body has new body mounts and hardware. The roof has a brand new seal installed both for the base and the fiberglass section roof section. I have new door seals that need to be installed on the doors, but they ready to install. It has all stainless steel brake lines, new master cylinder and brake booster, along with rebuilt rear brake wheel cylinders. It still has stock drum brakes all the way around, but stops well with the upgrades. It has non stock windshield wipers but they do work and are brand new individual units from Speedway.
