Just a heads up (I don't remember if you can edit your craigslist posts once they've been posted) you said in one sentence the FJ was restored in the "late 90's" and then 3 sentences later you say "that was restored 20+ years ago". That doesn't exactly add up. Other than that. Nice rig.

Well priced truck Shane.

This guy is 100% legit. He will not screw you over for a couple of bucks like some will. Master Lexus Tech, so he knows his stuff.

Good luck. I wish I needed a 40, this is what I would love under my shed. Complete, well running beater....

Would you consider a trade for two VW Westfalias? One is a 78 and the other is a 79. Both full pop-top campers. One was running when parked several years ago, the other one has the engine out to be rebuilt. Some rust - definitely a project. I have pictures if you have any interest...

Cheers

I corrected the ad...thanks for the heads up. A little late night math issues.

Thanks Nolen...I agree 100% If I didn't have to much on my plate aleady, it would be a definite keeper.

Wow....I'm not quite sure what to think here. Its relisted already...descrition is about the same except for the fact that there is no way the engine was rebuilt 2 years ago....it was sitting in my shop and then was sitting for 20 years before that. Oh yeah...the price has doubled too. I guess this is the Cruiser world. 1975 fj40 ALL ORIGINAL
Buyer beware.

I guess the current "owner" has now signed up as a new Mud member. THat would normally be a good thing. Anyway, here is the pm I recieved and my response:

Thanks for the info on the 1975 fj40 you never told me it sat for 20 years, you told me that the motor had been rebuild w/ not alot of miles on it, you said id get a the paper work on the rebuild but i never got it.

1) My Craigslist ad made it very, very clear that the truck had been rebuilt over 20 years ago and that it had sat for 20 years.
2) I explained all of this to you on the phone as well and was completely transparent with all of the information I had.
3)I also expalined that what I knew about the rebuild was from the notes and receipts that I found in the repair manual that came with the FJ. Those were all delivered to you with the vehicle, as I explained to you on the phone as well.

Before you claim some sort of ignorance about the vehicle as justification for fabricating false information in order to profit, please be well aware that a copy of the original ad is posted online. I would simply suggest that you revise your ad so that it isn't completely fraudulant. Then I would be more than happy to wish you luck on the resale.
