FJ40 - Central MO
First off, I am not really affiliated with this cruiser. I saw it and stopped to take a look. I asked permission to post it on the site and the woman said if someone from here bought it and mentioned that I told them about it, she would give me $100. That said if you do call about this truck and buy it you can mention me or not, it doesn't matter to me.
Now for the truck(I am going to describe it to the best of my ability as I am typing this from memory when I looked at it before thanksgiving).
1975 or 1977(can't remember exactly) Toyota FJ40 - 88,xxx miles on odo.
Original motor - doesn't smoke
4 spd tranny.
INTERIOR:
Great condition(restored most likely)
New seats(not original) - looked to be aftermarket racing/offroad type seats.
Rhino lining with carpeting on top of that.
Running Gear:
SOA'd(since I had never looked at a SOA job before I don't know if it was done correctly or not)
New offroad tires.(matching spare)
New Chrome wheels.(matching spare as far as I can remember
Various:
Rear swing out spare carrier
Nicer front brush guard
Hi-lift jack
Tinted windows.
The bad:
The paint while at a distance is nice, up close isn't perfect. She said he spent $15k rebuilding the truck. I feel he cheaped out on the Paintjob(probably a home paint job) There are a few runs that I DIDN'T get a picture of. I do think they could be fixed by someone with some patience. The first I noticed was on the rear passenger side corner. I drove by the other day and noticed one on the flat quarter panel on the drivers side.
I noticed a little rust on the under body, but not an alarming amount. I would expect more rust on a central MO vehicle than this has.
