Hey there y'all!
Can someone yell me what size headlamps, including the lens width (7" I think?), come stock on a '75 (Feb.) FJ40 and exactly what specs I may need to know when looking/asking for replacements? MY LC lives about 3 hours south of me at my buddy's ranch, so I can't just run out and check stuff on it. I know I should have pulled one on my last visit, but I didn't. I'm going to be visiting the ranch and working on it on Wednesday & Thursday and I'm hoping to, at least, install some new headlamps while I'm there- the headlights, right now, barely provide enough light to drive on at night. Can I find replacement headlamps easily at an auto parts store or Walmart? Sure hope someone can help me out!
I'd also like to get some reccomendations on converting the headlamps to the newer, replaceable bulb style, headlamps- I'm looking for something as bright as I can get without going over about $200-$250 and that will be street-legal.....barely! Since I'm planning to add more lights, on the bumper and the roll bar, I'm looking for a conversion that will appear as stock as possible. Suggestions?
