Selling this very solid 1974 fj40. Has always been maintained, good original drivetrain and runs , shifts and stops as it should.
The body had one repaint about 10 years ago and only rust bubbles in lower rear corners. Floors, fenders, bib and hood are all original and solid, rear seal is in great condition.
New best top soft top and no tears or bad zippers
Interior is original and in good shape with dash having been capped.
Decent tires on original wheels and wearing original hubcaps.
Recent work includes new fuel tank, inspected rear tank, new fuel pump and rebuilt carburetor.

F 1.5 engine or 2f? mileage? Hardtop/ doors missing? (typically this would drive price down by replacement cost unless someone is in love with bestops- which is rare imho)

139,000 on F155 engine with 4 speed transmission. No hard top or doors, but early tops and doors are common on CL. classifieds. I will post pics of underneath in AM.

The underside is undercoated and then covered in dirt The cruiser has always lived on rural dirt roads saw use in Summer and Fall months.

They are factory holes and not any rust through. Frame is Not nasty , just surface rust, dirt, old paint and some under coating. The frame is totally solid and your welcome to inspect the FJ40 anytime and write an accurate first hand review.

What's the capacity of the secondary fuel tank? Is the rebuilt carb a stock AISIN?

Man-a-free carb. Kit . Stock intake, peddle and linkage. With a header exhaust. I have a stock intake and exhaust manifold for this engine if someone wanted it.

Aux. tank is just over 20 gallons and has a manual switch. Gas tank upfront is new , including sender. Fuel gauge reading off of front tank and rear tank is without gauge.

It seems like the market is softening for these trucks. I look at Craigslist in the entire southwest every day and I'm seeing low priced stuff sit for a lot longer that in would have just a few months ago.
