I have decided to sell my 1971 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. It is a very clean FJ40. It came from an estate in Colorado. It was a one owner truck, and it comes with a bill of sale only because they did not have titles in 1971 when it was purchased new. New owner can get a title for it. I have not messed with it since I am not ready to fix it up yet. Seller told me that it was driven and used on a large ranch in dry southern Colorado since it was new, hence the original 1971 Colorado license plates still on the vehicle. The engine was removed at some point in time. It was pulled apart and comes with the vehicle. The front seats need recovered. It could also use a new upper dash pad. It does have a large dent in rear quarter that should mostly press out. Other than that, it is very clean original truck. It has one spot of rust on the passenger rocker panel where the support tab is welded and it could use some rear sill work. Other than that, the Capri Blue patina is amazing and its one of the cleanest you will see. I also have a running 1971 parts car that I can sell with if you are interested.
Take a look at the photos and let me know what questions you might have. Trucks like this are very hard to find.
Price is $9,300.00.
Reason for selling.
I have since decided to start restoring FJ25 Toyota Land Cruiser's and have purchased 3 of those. I am also doing a frame off restoration on my 1972 fst so this one will be on the back burner for awhile.
I could use the space in my shop. I do not have to sell it, so no low ball offers. I think the price is more than fair and it could be parted out for more than I am asking.
