This is in auction with Ebay but should any Mud Member wish to make an offer the door is open:) The reserve price on Ebay is set at $10,000.00. So any offer around that will be considered...

i usually don't do this but .........

$10k can buy you a lot of cruiser. this one has the F engine, 3spd, manual steering and drum brakes. no hard top, no hard doors and diamond-plate corners.

don't get me wrong, clean little cruiser but $10k is a lot of money for that.

Every person has a right to his or her opinion.

The body on this cruiser alone is worth 6-8 thousand. I use to sell new 3/4 Pilgrim tubs that went for nearly $6,000 in raw condition and still needed the cowl welded on. All the same I have sold cruisers from $2500 to $42,000 and this one is worth every bit of $10,000.00...

This cruiser is being sold for a friend and the sale of this cruiser will greatly help his family. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. If you have something good to say then great, if you don't then keep it to yourself because the countless hours of hard work and the thousands that have been spent in parts to get it back into it's current condition is worth something to somebody...

Thanks for the input. I have sold a number of 3/4 tubs off of mud that averaged $5500.00. There are still a number of mud members who are in the market and can afford quality cruisers. The majority (You guys are right) are looking for cheap junk to fix up....
In no way do I mean any offense to you....but isn't that what you do as well. If you're in the business of buying and selling, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the way to do it? Buy low, sell high. GLWS.

Why's the eBay auction still active?

If I'm thinking of the right person, this guy had always been a jackwagon.

He had a thread on here about the best B turboed bj40 ever and got all miffed when people asked him to supply details.

There are a few solid restorers on this forum and when they chime in with advice, I'd listen. Instead, this guy bites back hard on perceived offense.

I wonder why he's shutting down his restoration business?

There are always people out there that will pay more than a truck is worth, I just think it's sad that some people take advantage of that fact.

[end of rant]

As long as the cruiser is listed on Ebay I will not be accepting out side auction offers. If you would like to make an offer make it on the Ebay auction. If the cruiser does not sale on the auction you are welcome to make offers..

Still a active auction on Ebay as of this posting. To me this would throw up a red flag on dealing with this guy.:meh:

I am the same guy who started that write up about the turbo diesel BJ40. The mistake I made was starting the writeup that was titled "Thee most powerful B Diesel". I did not mean for it to come across overly pompous but I realize it was taken that way. Before I could even begin to respond to the comments posted I was hit by a wave of bull s*** comments. The countless hours I had committed my blood sweat and tears to this project I had no intentions to respond to such disrespectful slander so I pulled the whole thread.

I have had a number of Mud members and other fellow cruiser heads at my shop over the years and not one person has ever experienced poor customer service or have they complained of poor workmanship. The fact that I am closing my doors has nothing to do with my reputation or lack of business opportunities. I have chosen to close my doors in order to invest more time with my family which this cruiser shop has all but stripped me of.

If I had sold any part, service or vehicle that was unfairly priced I would not continue to get referrals from every customer who has ever conducted business with me or my shop. Interesting how Spector Off Road is the highest priced pirate in the land cruiser industry yet people time and time again keep going back.

End or Rant...
