There is no way whatsoever to adjust the rockers like he does in the video. The rocker assembly bolts onto the head and that's it.

Here's a rocker.
Yeah, I'm not familiar with the engine here. If there's no adjustment at all, it must be designed into the part dimensions.
I can't see the top of the rocker, opposite the ball end that fits into the push rod. Does it adjust?

Haha you aren't the only one! I've been asking my muscle car friends for help on the Scout and showing them how it is, and like and they look at me like I'm speaking Toyota at them.

Rocker ball side is where the finger is pointing.
You definitely showed me something new (to me). The only thing that makes sense to me is it's non adjustable. If it clicks and makes noise, it's wore out.
Hydraulic lifters handle the lash. (Within the limits of the lifter) I never experienced one that didn't have either an adjustable rocker or pushrod. Or shims under a pedestal. Pretty cool.

You should see my Flathead Ford. You grind the valve stems to set valve clearance.

I have Motor manuals for Trucks (1978) and I have ones for cars that I know includes IH. 1963 to 1974
I'll look tonight and see what I can find.
Maybe I can pdf a few pages and email them to you.
Not sure if this is enough. It's all there is on the valve train.

After flushing with mineral spirits, draining, and then filling with oil, I cranked it until I got clean oil coming out of both head oil ports, blasting whatever goo out in the process.
Then I put each lifter in a cup of oil and pumped it with a pushrod until the bubbles came out and it stiffened up. I then installed each lifter and pushrod to its respective bore.
I lightly oiled the tops of the valves and pushrods before installing the rocker assemblies. I then cranked it more to get oil circulating about.
It was of course at this point that I found the missing spring clip on the floor...
...not that I remember which lifter has the Ford clip anyway!

Fresh gasket with rtv in strategic spots and the cover cleaned up.
And then the part where having a friend help is helpful (which I did)! That manifold weighs a ton!

Buttononed up, idle set, timed and away we go!
This seems to have solved multiple issues:
-It starts very easily now, no more struggling
-It idles smoothly
-It has power!
-It doesn't sound like a bag of hammers
-The temperature gauge works (I guess it wasn't able to get up to temperature with only four cylinders).
-It doesn't smoke anymore once warmed up
I went for a drive around town and found an older sibling.
