1969 FJ40 - 1uz +H151 groundup rebuild

Hi guys,

Have started ripping apart a relatively rust free 69 FJ40.

Plans include,

• disc brake front end
• front/rear lockers
• OME springs
• Toughdog shocks
• 2.5" lift
• Metal Tech cage
• 1UZFE (to replace Falcon 250)
• H151F

Don't want a rockcrawler, just a strong reliable cruiser.

Whats the forum thoughts on galvanising the frame?

A rust free 69/40 ? Must be in Australia !

I did my 45 but added a suspension correction kit before I sent it off for galvanizing. Make sure any welding is done before hand and that all areas are if not sound, then repaired.

That will go for motor mounts and such.
