now don't get too excited, this is a major rust bucket, but the guy is willing to take $1500.00. it is located in Bozeman, MT runs and drives, Owner is Terry 406-580-5079. I talked to him and he said it "purrs" but he said any hunting and fishing rig will bring $1500.00. i offered $800.00, he said no, but $1500.00 he would take. check it out. http://www.hotcarclassified.com

if the link should happen to not work search under toyota and you will find it.

also, notice in the engine compartment there is a light. is that an OEM part?

In the midwest, you'd be laughed at for calling that a 'major rustbucket'. I saw an FJ55 in Michigan with 80K miles and rust all the way up to the window glass on the rear quarter panels - the glass was about the only un-rusted part on the truck - no, wait, the glass had rust, too!

looked at the pics again, anyone else notice the gas filler arrangement?

That's different. I noticed what I thought was an auxilliary tank filler on the outside of the rig. Then I saw the pic from the inside.

It looks like the cap is missing from the original "hole". WTF do you call that anyway...the hole the gas nozzel goes into? Regardless, perhaps they could not find a replacement cap so they got creative?

1500 bucks plus a hundered grand or so and it would be just like Matt's......;)

I like the radiator hose, wonder if it still has the original tank? look where the filler neck goes thru the floor, pretty certain that is not stock, wonder what they put under it.

tried calling him this AM, all I got was voice mail, if I get ahold of him I'll take a look at it this weekend.

you can't compare the rust of a 55 to the rust of a 45. i think the 55's, at least the one i own, and the one's i have seen, have a special ability to rust in huge amouts. however, that 45 is still a rust bucket. you can see daylight thru the sills. it is strange that most of the 55's, which are later, have more rust than many 45's?
