Starting from the driver door...

How many fasteners are stock ( that will fit my Eshan top which is in the mail )
At what measurement increment does it start, and what continuous increment are the spaced ? ( and how many total )

The PO had drilled many extra holes, and i want to fill them in during my restoration.

Cheers

Destin

Hey Destin,

I will take a look at my tub to see what holes there are. Are you looking for the footman loop's holes or the spots for snaps??

Another question.

There are two snaps on either side of the windscreen, i am pretty sure that is not stock and they were added by the previous owner...

Do the Eshan tops use snaps there?
I am thinking no, and i can safely remove them.
I just want to be sure.

I had the same PO/Best top problem, I welded all holes shut and when I receved the top from Eshan I re-drilled the new holes after paint :crybaby: and used touch up paint to seal the steel to help with the rust.

the two atop the windschild are OEM pan head screws with acorn nuts.

Yeah I want to get it all sorted before it is painted :)

Do you know the starting point from the front doors to the first hole and the distance between each hole?
I want the all correct before it is painted :)

Also, do you have a close up what of the windscreen OEM pan head screws and how they secure the top in the corners of the windscreen?

Thanks!

I did too, you are not the first one to ask this question,
I could not get a clear answer from any body ether but you are taking a chance it might not match the top you get from Eshan https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/77672-soft-top-fasteners.html

starting from behind the "B" Pillar to the first one 3-1/4", center of the second is second is 8-7/8" from the "B" pillar + 6-3/4" on the next 4 twist Fasteners total of six, again this what is on my top and measurements on Eshan Top's may very NO Guarantee !

Good to know man :D

So eshans tops have the eyelets for the canvas preset?
( i have not received it yet si I am unsure )

hmm maybe i should fill them all then measure and drill afterwards... ?

Hi Destin,

My measurements are pretty similar to those above. I have a few extra holes too but I am not too bothered by it. I need to get those twisty doo-hickeys however.
