This is a very clean all original 1964 factory soft top FJ40 and is a true barn find out of Rifle, Colorado. I bought it a couple of years ago thinking I would turn it into a daily driver runabout. However, being laid off just recently, this project is not on my top priority list. $3800 or make me an offer.

As mentioned, it was sourced out of Rifle, Colorado. I was living in Colorado at the time and then was relocated to Utah. I trailered the 40 from CO to UT where it has been sitting for almost two years. It has NEVER been driven in the UT salt.

The 40 runs and drives and will drive up on a trailer. It does not run well and it smokes badly; smelling of really bad gas. It will need to be trailered away. Brakes work and I have driven it in all gears including high/low range. Transmission/t-case work properly. It will need a complete going through including a carb rebuild, new fluids, tires, etc. This is a project and will need some time and money invested.

The 40 includes the rear seats (no upholstery), factory soft doors, and a complete set of bows. Some of the frame work is a little tweaked but might be easily fixed. It does not include the actual soft top canvas.

It has minimal rust and is located in the rear sill. The frame and rest of the body are in excellent shape. Rear sill is not too bad but rust is evident. I can send lots of pics.

The FJ40 is currently located in Heber City, UT 84032 However, I have relocated back to Colorado. The 40 is being stored at "THE BARN" and viewing can take place there.

$3800

Thanks for noticing the 45. It is very close to being back on the road after a 2 year slumber. It needs a few things done to it and then it will be ready. It will now sport a 3B/4speed/split case/PTO winch and 75 series axles.

Forgive the hijack.

Have you posted over on the 45 section? Sounds like a very cool build.

Hard NOT to notice the coveted Fj45... You could put a Fredrick's of Hollywood model in front of that thing and id still spot it on a postage stamp.... :-)

No worries on the hijack. It's a bump for me ;)

I typically don't do "build" threads but rather finished threads. However, here is when I first brought PABST home.

I drove it for two years with the original engine. The old F was getting very tired and my BJ60 was getting very rusty and it seemed like a natural transformation. Once it is done, I will post up the finished product in the 45 section.

Thanks.

The FJ40 has SOLD

Thanks for all the interest.
