She may not be perfect but she is mine :)

Showed up today.
Need to get a new muffler and rebuild the carb, but other than that it is in pretty good shape. There is a little play in the steering wheel, but it does have the incorrect size tire in the front passenger side. ( new stock like tires on the way )

engine# F-190861 and Frame #4FJ40022298

Very nice ride! Make sure your brake master cylinder is topped off, could make for more excitement that you're in for.

congratulations, Sean

BTW it is a 64 by the vin# ...but...I am quessing you have the ?? because your truck is registered 65...back then they were registered when they sold...your truck is a 1964 sold in 65....great truck you have :)

Thanks man:)

Super excited.
Cannot wait to get the carb dialed correctly and fix that exhaust leak.
I smell like the I have been riding my motorbike all day when i get home :D

Here's the info off the VIN plate I took of one in a junk yard. Engine F-193247 Fram 4-FJ40-23418 Kinda confused about that extra zero rigth after the 4-FJ40 on your's. The way I listed mine is the way it's stamped in the VIN plate. Don't know about the frame since that's long gone. How is your frame stamped? The stamp is on the front side of the frame on passsnger's side. This VIN plate is stamped model 1964. It's over a thousand lower than your's. If I remember right this was biue soft top model. Took the VIN plate to get the screws, nuts and lock washers. Also got the tailgate, soft top hinges off the tub, safety straps eyelets off the dash, dash light and back foot of the frame. I really miss the having FJ40s sitting in junk yards.

Curious about the little plate bolted to the rear sill on the driver's side. Any idea what it's for? The shot gun holder, the heater and side winder winch are all non-OEM. I would take the gun holder out the heater is a toss up but the sidewnder would stay. While it's not a OEM PTO winch it is vary period correct. Kinda like the Fairey Overdrive. Glad to hear your keeping stock not many original old cruisers around. This is a sweet old soft top well worth a restore.

Seems these red soft top cruisers were popular in Colorado back in the mid sixties. You'll notice they had the same thing going on with the year of production and year titled.

:D

I would also be very interested in seeing if the above linked 66 fj has those bolt patterns on the rear too. I will ask the PO and see if he knows something.
He mentioned their was a bumper attachment of some sort on their along time ago.
