This is SOLD!!!This is a rare opportunity to own a surviving canvas top for an fj40 fst.It is in great shape for its age,no rips or tears, zippers all work, twist locks all intact and function, rear straps excellent, only issues is a couple areas where the stitching has come loose at the zippers(easy sew job)and the windows have the usual scratches, and a good cleaning, and you will have an unobtanium piece! The quality of this top is amazing, very heavy and well built ! $950 shipped!

YT,

You need to save that for a template at least for a while. It won't get any more acurate than that for duplication. Nice Top BTW! If you do, maybe I will be in for one in made from canvas instead of the vinyl one I have.

Alex, these got twist locks in the corners! If you look at early literature, you can see they did not have straps in the corners, this also has a slanted rear window, later in 69? they had a straight rear window!

How do the rear corner pieces attach? I don't see any straps, so there must be eyelets for twistlocks?

The early soft top models had footman loops and starps. Then around 66 when Toyota started making the hard top model to except the soft top they went to twists. The 72 to 74 models had footman loops on all models, both hard top and soft top. After that not sure. haven't ever seen a 75 or later that was still original. Here in the US very few soft tops were ever imported after 74

X2 it would be nice it one of the these original tops could make it to make to a vendor for a pattern before getting sold.
