Both of which I could probably answer with a phone call tomorrow, buy, hey, that's tomorrow and I want the answer today.

1. I seem to remember Bobby Long posting that he is now making long spline inners in a 30 spline for using an e-locker in a 4x/5x/7x axle. I can't find the thread. I'm looking at ordering 30 splines tomorrow so I can get them in before the Cliffs Toyota Jambo. .

2. I have a NP203 to a 74 16 spline 4 speed transfer. I have a split case sitting on the shelf. Do I have to order a whole new adapter kit, or can I just get a 19 spline output shaft for the NP203. I don't see that AA offers the NP203/19 spline anymore either. What's up with that?

Answer to question number one.

Yes. You can get long spline axles for the lockers. It costs $15 more for the 30 spline kit.

Answer to question number two is a bit more tricky. I still don't see where AA makes the 19 spline kit, although I have seen some for sale. Why would they make a 10 spline kit and discontinue the 19 spline?

My gut tells me that the tcase bolt patterns are the same. The splines are the only difference. But honestly, I cannot quite convince myself that they are.

I'll do some looking around.

You can get the 19 spline one.I just got one a lil bit ago.Like a month and a half or so.

I am positive that you can just order the shaft from AA.

Call them..

The split cases a pretty bullet proof.

Its funny looking at a split case bolted up to and h42 sitting aside of a 3 speed bolted up to a 40 series case.

Hi-jack...Chittown was well.. in town a few months back and was talking about your rig and my rig had similar body panels "beat to s***"...

Called AA.

The dude there seemed pretty knowledgeable.

He says the split case has a different bolt pattern to the 4 speed.

No go on using my current adapter plate.

And they don't make the 19 spline anything to the 203 GRB.

Orion or inchworm case would be really nice, but not if I wanna stay living in my house.

He also suggested the 78-79 output shaft. He said I'll need the output shaft, and front and rear housings, and I assume the yokes. Although that's not where I busted mine off at, it does seem like a good upgrade while I'm in there.

Anybody got a busted in half case they wanna sell the output shaft from?

so no more 19 spline 203 adapters??

Try Mudrak? I got mine a couple of months back...

Gary even had the 700r4 output shaft I needed.

Mudrak drop ships them from AA

Looking at my early split case, it looks like the AA dude was right that the bolt holes are different to the back of the four speed.

However, without taking them apart I can't tell if that is with or without the adapter/ spacer thing. If the bolt pattern is the same with the adapter, would the shaft be longer to be able to use the adapter? Or is the adapter from the 203 different from the 16 to the 19 spline transfer case?

That was the answer right there.

He gave me the info, price and all the stuff I needed.

I will need the adapter plate as the bolt pattern and bearing are different.

SO... 3 speed for now until I can get the money for the new adapter kit.

maybe I'll post up my 4 speed adapter kit for sale to see if I can't afford to upgrade.

I had it a while ago, but lost it. When that post came up, I thought of you sunbeam ;)

gumby, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the splitcase adapter kit?

The adapter from the 203 to the splitcase cost me $525 which included shipping from J. Nichols. I just ordered and received it last week.
