Long time lurker. I finally pulled the trigger and I am joining the club. I am picking up a new to me 2014 with fsport rims that might need new tires. What is the largest 18" tire that will not rub and fit the spare tire? This care will be used 95% onroad, any recommendations for good on/off-road tires that won't affect ride quality and comfort too much?

I know everyone has their own opinion on tires, but I've always have gone with BFG's. Either the M/T's or probably for you the A/T's.
They're quiet, last a ridiculous number of miles and great off road/snow/ice/whatever you go over.
I've had my LT285/75R17 BFG Mud Terrain TA KM2's for about 48,000 miles and they're looking about 40% tread left. We are on trails (and sometimes brutal trails) about once a month.
Albeit, you'll want a lighter tire than an LT.

265/65/18 KO2s are the largest you can go with the spare fitting. Only a slight rub into some parking lots which is not a big deal. 37 psi on the freeways and 20psi off-road.

I'm currently running 255/70R18 on Stock wheels, and only rub occasionally pulling into my driveway brake/turning. This is the Pesky Bolt (disregard tire in pic it's a 285/70r17 on stock suspension).
rub.webp

Thanks for all of the replies. I think I am leaning towards the 265/65/18 mainly cause of the spare tire.
