Does anyone know if there are any issues involved with putting T100 wheels on an 80? Thanks!

Truck comes with 16X8 so there shouldn't be except for possibly backspacing.

Why would you want to?????

Jenny, I have a set of Tundra/Sequoia/T100 (?) steelies on mine (probably early 2000s). These are 16x7. Backspacing is just right. The center hole fits better than the OEM LC alloys. Some will say that they are too narrow for the usual 285s etc tires, and they are indeed maybe a tad narrower than the typical app guide for 285s, but most will OTOH say that they will retain better aired down tires, and should exhibit no problem altogether. That is my impression as well. My measurements show that my 285s are maybe 1/2" or 1/4" narrower sidewall to sw with the 16x7 which I don't see as a problem.
All in all, a great inexpensive way to get a second set if you like the styling. Very cheap to find in sets of 4 new steelies from folks who swapped up to alloys, but the 5th may cost you, watch out for that.

I found a local guy who has a set with good tires for under $300. Thanks for the info. I still haven't decided if I need a second set or not. The price is right though, so I don't know.

Do you have a pic of them on your rig?

do a search for "steel wheels" there is a photo. These are indeed steel though.
there is a also a thread on who uses 2 sets of wheels - interesting

From what I understand any of the 16" 6-lug Toyota truck tires are interchangeable, despite slightly different widths (assuming you're running stock tire sizes).

I am using 4-runner wheels for snow tires with absolutely no problem, and despite the slightly narrower width, fits 275-tires just fine (wouldn't go much wider, though).

i use the 16X7 tundra steelies with my pirellis snows in 275/70. no problems experienced in two winters with them. they're not pretty, but i think i paid $80 for the four on ebay.

I also run the 16 x 7 Tundra steelies (all black) with 285 75 16 with no issues. As previously mentioned, very similar to stock set up. IMHO, it is nice to have the option to run MT's for weekends and also the nice smooth DD for wifey :princess:
I purchased mine on Ebay for $100.

the backspacing is 4" instead of 4.5" stock so you will get wider tracking which is good. according to BFG anything bigger than a 275 tire requires an 8" rim . some have pushed the envelope without problems, but you might end up with a warranty issue and you also could get premature wear from crowning.

You guys picked up your steelies w/tires for $80-$100?

the BS on mine was the same as the LC wheels , 4.5" maybe a tad more measured IIRC. I think that's mentioned in one of my earlier posts.
