Part numbers are in the previous threads i mentioned...
But to be quick; From the dealer the part number is "42601-AF010"
But even from the dealer you are looking at around 100 a piece even from people like Cruiserdan or Beno with our Mud discount.
I don't remember how i found the other rims but they seem to be a heck of a lot cheaper and the same exact rim.
The rims i'm talking about in this thread are here; Toyota Sequoia Tundra 01-04 16" Steel Wheel 69392
38.00 a piece and shipping isn't to bad... When i have some spare cash i will be buying these and let the masses know if they fit/how the fit with 235/85 KM2's...

Part numbers are in the previous threads i mentioned...
I was talking about the LC steelies part number that John Galt and Salvage60 were talking about.

Anyone have the part number for theses steelies?

Thanks

J'ai ça chez nous... je te réponds ce soir

EDIT : same part number here. List price in 2005 : 80$

I did not. But I'm still planning on it for when winter time rolls around. Things like a new carb and intake/exhaust manifold got in the way this time around.
I do have to say that I might just stick with loyalty and just order then from CDan or Beno... Can't go wrong with those fellas.

Do you happen to know how much they would be through those guys? Hard to pass up the $38 price tag when the cheapest I have found them online is $90ish/ea. On one random site I did find that there are a number of "Standard Steel" wheels mentioned for vehicles like the Highlander.. Wondering if one of those would have closer to proper backspacing than the Tacoma/Sequoia/Tundra/T100 rims. Think the site was www.hubcaphaven.com.

Guys, just something for you to think about...

My present job is getting everything at a salvage yard inventoried and posted online. We get a LOT of calls from people looking for replacement steel wheels as newer ones are thinner then older wheels and are very prone to getting warped. They look good and are light, but knowing what I know now, a steel wheel wouldn't be my first choice for putting on an off road vehicle that could easily slide into a rock or something.

And before anyone asks, no, we don't have any Land Cruisers here. ;)

If i'm not mistaken they are around 100 a piece from CDan and Beno. I can't remember if that's mud price or not... I agree that the $38 per wheel is hard to pass up. I think the shipping is quite high from that site though and added up quickly. I'll have to check again how much it was exactly.
I think the problem with the Highlander wheels is that they aren't the right lug pattern. I believe they are 5x5.5 or something like that instead of 6x5.5.
As for the whether or not the steel wheels are strong enough, i have no idea. But being as they're made by Mr. Toyoda i think they're gonna be better than most. ;) And i hear they are a heck of a lot lighter than steelies made by pro crap or eagle alloy or the like...

I installed 16 inch Tacoma Wheels last month - they look pretty good, no issues so far - other than minor rubbing on the front mud flap at full flex.

They are take offs from 2000-2004 4wd Tacomas. Back spacing is about 4.75 in.
Had to use 1.25 spacers. Mounted 5 Maaxis Bighorns 255/85-16.

I found 3 locally for 30 bucks each (CJ tire and wheel) , bought 2 over the phone for 50 bucks plus shipping (20 bucks) here:

Considered powder coating but was pretty pricey so I just cleaned them up and painted with Rustoleum (Primer and Paint) dark machine grey. Easy to touch up later.

Cheers

Ok so where are you guys buying your spacers from and what type (ie. material)?
Gonna check some of the local used tire yards to see if they have any.

16 Steelies

After reading this thread and a reply on "wheels and tires" I took the suggestion of GeologistFelix and ordered U.S. Wheels custom made through Summit racing. What I ordered for my 84 FJ60 was a set of 16X7, 6X5.5, 3.5" backspace steel wheels in gloss black wanted flat black but not available. $104 each and $432 for the set shipped. Delivery in 2 weeks.

I will report back sometime in Oct after mounting tires and to my rig.

I run 235/85/16s on steel wheels without spacers but the rims were ordered from the tire store that supplied the tires and I do not know who made them. No spacing or rubbing problems. That is not much help I know. The extra ground clearance has been good in this country.

Ok so I took the chance and emailed Stockton Wheel regarding. The response said they would have to get their hands on an original wheel and one of the aforementioned Toyota steelies to see what they could do. He said, normally the safest thing is to "expand" the wheel (widen it) with their stock methods that have been tried and true for ages. He was with some of us here that don't necessarily like the idea of running spacers. I told him to get into contact with Georg @ Valley Hybrid for a stock FJ60 rim so they can get all the proper measurements. We will see what happens.

here's my 60. I just put this tire wheel combo on 2 weeks ago. The tires are BFG KM2 255/85x16 on Tacoma spare wheels that I sand blasted and painted. I got them at a wrecking yard for $25 each.

That's where i'm going to get my spacers. Quarter inch spacers are all that's required so the rims won't rub the TRE. As long as you maintain your lug nuts and keep them torqued then you'll be fine.

it helps if you attach a pic...
If you don't know already your rig is sexy as hell! I love the expedition style look it has. How does it handle the 255's with the H55 and stock gearing? How much was it to get the rims sand blasted?

I'm going to look around/call a few wrecking yards around here to see if they have any rims in stock. $25 a piece is a steal!

Great timing with this tread!! My original rims are bad and I just blew out a sidewall on a rear tire.

Time for new tires and wheels!! Thanks to all the great work on this thread, I ordered "Wheel, 8-Spoke, Steel, Natural, 16 in. x 7 in., 6 x 5.5 in." from U.S. Wheel for $69 each. They ship in white and for the price, I can paint them semi-gloss black and still be ahead of the game. 5 wheels for $362.35 shipped.

Should arrive in a few weeks. I'll post up pictures once installed.

Now to decide on a tire brand ... MT or AT?????

Well all depends on what you will be doing with the rig and what kind of terrain it will see. Same thing I do when looking at mtb tires, I figure out where I will be riding them and then plan accordingly. Also, what is your budget and size tires you are looking for. Have been looking at "cheaper" M/T to fit the stock rims in the stock size (235/75R15) and can find them for about $150/ea but then again I can find some A/Ts for that much in a 30" or 31".

Anyone knows if these steelies come on the 16"x8" size ?
