16" splits with hub caps?

I made my own. I purchased the clips from 'Chevs of the 40's' and spent an afternoon drilling, by hand!, and fixed them with stainless bolts and nyloc nuts.
I used an old rim as the template for drill hole radius. I was happy with the end result.

Proof 16'' Splits came with clips..
Not real easy to see but they are visible on my 1975 FJ45
This vehicle has since been sold, along with wheels and clips :crybaby:

Anyone have a source for 16" non-split steel rims? I have heard the rumor about a late model Toyota part number for them, but after doing a site search, I can't seem to find anything. My 45 lwb is getting the axles and drive train from a rolled '78. I am determined to keep my hubcaps and I was planning on sending my stock 15's to Stockton wheel to get re-rimmed, but now that they are closed, I am thinking that buying some 16's and then installing my clips and caps.

There's a brand new set of 40,45,47 hubcaps on fleebay Australia item number 270754523924 for around $130 au as I type this. I can post to the US if you need help with them.

Clips

All split rim cruisers up to about 1975 had clips in OZ. The clip PN 42618-35010 and the rivet is PN95111-00410. 4mm od x10mm long. Hope this helps.

Would be interesting if they are still available.... Toyota Germany had no
extra PN numbers for the clip and rivet. I asked for them two or three years ago.

I just had the clips manufaktured last year. Won´t get them from Toyota, they did deliver the original hubcabs though for a very good price...I think I bought all they had left...:D

they made the clips for me, all they needed was one original clip to start with

Plus I still need to find the wheels..... A set of 16" non-splits just went on auction here with the buy it now price of $500- and I missed it.

no wheels from Toyota anymore available...

I was lucky to get 15" rims without clips from a friends J5 ...still looking for 16".
Maybe I`ll use 16" spit rims too...
Hi Soenke I would do that .... put 16 split rims on your Hilux :)
Think I bought one of the last new 16 "steelies"( with clips) from Toyota for my 45 ... two or three years ago.;)
Cheers

Johnny- if your refering to the number that I posted in that thread- 42610-60111-03- it is from a 90 on model truck. It does not show on toyo. It is a confirmed good number here in japan and I am almost sure- especially since it is a 90 on vehicle- that does not have hub cap clips.

I think this number is/was good for 16 splits with cap retainers:42610-60020

Found here:¤â¤Ã¤¿¤¤¤Ö¤ë¤Î ¤ä¤á¤È¤*¤Þ¤¹ ¾Ð ¥ä¡¼¥É³«Êü - Æî¤ÎÅç¤Î¥é¥ó¥¯¥ë - Yahoo!¥Ö¥í¥°

I have not been able to reach this guy recently. The pics were of wheels that are not in Japan but that could be imported- but I think they have all been bought up or something. I have tried every 16" number available in that blog and no luck.
