I currently just replaced my battery with an X2 Power 27F AGM battery after my 6 year old factory Toyota Panasonic finally bit the dust. I have a few 12v accessories some that use the cigarette lighter port and at least 1 other camp accessory that used the 120v plug in the rear. What is the preferred method for using these since the key has to be in the on position? If I want to run my awning lights this requires the truck be in ACC mode to get power to the 12v port up front which keeps the nav screen on and drains the battery far more than powering just 1 LED light strip.

Seems like a dumb question but am I missing something obvious here?

You can run a dedicated fused 12V feed right off the battery to wherever you need. Add a fuse block local to where your loads are located. Lots of examples here on the forum.

There's a good write up with pics in this thread from the forum FAQs on running wiring from the battery to the cargo area and installing 12V outlets.

Using the factory 120VAC outlet without using the accessory ignition position is not feasible. Just add a very small inverter (100W) to the always-on 12VDC wiring you'll be doing. That will power the same 120VAC equipment as the factory outlet and work while the vehicle is off.

I may be wrong, but I think he was asking about 12v power. You can absolutely run unswitched 12v power directly to the power plug. Sure, it could kill your battery, but it is entirely doable.
