lol, i was just looking at this yesterday...i'm out of town right now but i have a buddy in N.Ga going to look at it. seems sketchy, fuel indicator not working, lockers, no interior pics, super low mileage....etc. i'll let you know what i find out.

It's a given...but a physical look at the VIN and running a corresponding Carfax would go a long way.

p.s. Does anyone else get Jeep Cherokee ads on their iH8mud page. Glad Chrysler/Fiat supports iH8mud financially, but pretty funny that they think any of us would be interested in the new "Cherokee"

I get Mini ads. Just what I've always wanted to turn into a monster truck!! thanks mini :)

got some feedback

engine starts and idles fine, my buddy did not drive it tho.
engine compartment is somewhat clean, difficult to tell if miles are actual. inner front fenders and radiator area show signs of new paint/overspray, possible past front end damage?

inside stinks of mildew/funkiness, overall shape maybe 4 or 5 (10 being best)

confirmed it DOES have lockers

no serious body damage but more of a woods truck than DD. probably worth $3500-4k?

guy said he has more cruisers for sale, not sure exactly what.

thanks for the update on the PAWN 80 w lockers.

re: COOKIES generating the ads, I think you're right. I write an auto review column and recently drove the new Cherokee. The transmission on it was so terrible that I googled it--and found a bunch of people who've bought them/are already having trouble with the tranny. So I was researching that. Makes sense that that is where the ads come from.

P.S. In 8 years of driving new press cars and writing auto columns, this was the first time I had to call a manufacturer (Chrysler) and tell them "i just cannot write a review on this car, unless you want me to mention that my 230k Toyota transmission shifts far better than the brand new Cherokee--which knocked my head into the headrest each 1-2 and 2-3 shift.

the end :)

Here's pics from my buddy. Check out the front of the valve cover! Looks like the head has been off with all that excess sealant on the half moons. Also that wiring harness on the firewall looks new.

mine Half moons look exactly the same and neither my head nor my valve cover have ever been off
that is what I would assume is the factory install excess.....

my $.02

Factory FIPG on those crescents under the valve cover is typically white/light grey in color. The FIPG that Toyota sells as OEM is black.
