Just a reminder …….
Cell service in “them there hills” is notch or two below smoke signals.
We plan to leave the main Windrock parking lot around 8:45ish Saturday morning and if you are running late for any reason, your ability to communicate and catch up with the various groups will require a great deal of luck. Being early to the parking lot (with park permits in hand) is your friend.
Although it has never been an issue with our group, Windrock has an absolute prohibition against alcohol while on the trails and yes, the odds are great that you will be checked by park security at some point.

We’ve used Buddy’s BBQ in nearly Oak Ridge for the Saturday evening meal for a number of years. While placing the order this year, they indicated a desire to support the charity and made a significant donation in the form of a discount. Their BBQ, which was already great tastes even better now.
